MATERIAL EDIT
Concrete Linen: make a warm grey field feel intentional
Concrete Linen is an illustrative soft concrete-inspired tile design in warm grey. It can be explored as a quiet background for interiors with timber, textiles or painted cabinetry. Its success in a room depends on the distribution of tonal movement and the visible tile grid, not just the colour of one square.
Review a complete area for the clouded effect
A single tile image cannot show how light and dark areas combine after repetition. Arrange several pieces and inspect them from the usual viewing distance. Decide where stronger marks should sit relative to furniture and the room entrance, while leaving the layout flexible enough for the installer to work within the approved face range.
- Compare several faces under consistent light.
- Locate darker areas within the proposed field.
Use the joint to define the intended level of restraint

A closely related grout can make the warm-grey plane feel quieter; a darker one emphasises each module. Place a grout sample beside the actual surface and include any neighbouring wall tile or skirting reference. Keep the visual discussion separate from installation requirements such as movement joints and substrate preparation.
- Test the grout beside both light and darker faces.
- Show perimeter and threshold treatments on the floor plan.
Give the warm neutral a useful role in a commercial sample board

A restrained tile can disappear among more expressive samples unless the board explains why it was included. Present Concrete Linen as the proposed background in a small finish schedule, alongside the joinery, upholstery or decorative accent it is expected to support. Use the room or zone reference to show where that relationship applies. If another warm grey is considered, compare how it changes the emphasis of the stronger materials rather than judging both neutral tiles in isolation. Keep the board tied to model identifiers and identify the images as design studies. This makes the choice understandable to a project purchaser while leaving actual finish approval and technical acceptance as separate decisions.
- Name the room or zone where the neutral background is proposed.
- Compare alternatives against the same stronger surrounding materials.

Questions buyers ask
Is Concrete Linen intended to look like fabric?
The current design is described as a soft concrete reference in warm grey. The model name should not be used to infer a woven physical texture.
Will matching grout hide every joint?
It may reduce visual contrast, but it does not remove the tile grid or necessary installation joints. Review the complete mock-up and the installation design.
